Emergency Medical Services (EMS) provide treatment to those at site in need of urgent medical attention (pre-hospital) and transportation to a health care facility as required. EMS provided on site include:

• advanced trauma and cardiac life support
• transportation to on-site Health Centre or provincial health care facilities as required
• deployment for optimal response at the job site with stabilization and recovery to site health center

Primary care is the health service that focuses on the diagnosis, treatment and management of care for non-occupational illness and injury at site. Health care management for nonoccupational disease or conditions such as, but not limited to:

• chronic or emergent Cardiac Disease (e.g., High Blood Pressure, Heart Attack,
• Stroke, Arrhythmia)
• chronic and emergent Respiratory Disease (e.g., Asthma, Respiratory Infections,
• Allergies)
• metabolic Disease (e.g., Diabetes Type 1 & 2)
• environmental and Seasonal Illness (e.g., Influenza, Heat/cold exposure, Allergies)
• skin disorders (e.g., eczema, dermatitis)
• musculoskeletal disorders (e.g., arthritis, tendonitis)
• communicable disease (e.g. COVID-19, influenza)

Occupational health services are intended to provide timely and appropriate medical care & disability management services specifically for occupational injuries or illness. Services that are provided include:

• assessment, treatment, monitoring & support of occupational injury or illness

• WCB and H&S reporting
